Whales Exterior Cleaning is an owner-operated exterior cleaning business based at 9 Foundry Walk, Thrapston, Northamptonshire NN14 4LS. In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” mean Whales Exterior Cleaning; “you” means the customer. We are fully insured with £2M public liability.

• Quotes are based on the information, measurements and photos you provide and are valid for 30 days.
• Prices start from £3/m² for driveway and patio cleaning and from £7/m² for roof cleaning. Re-sanding, sealing, repointing and other extras are quoted separately.
• If, on arrival, the surface, size or condition is materially different from what was described, we will agree any revised price with you before starting. You are free to proceed or decline at that point.
• Quotes are inclusive of materials and labour unless stated otherwise.

So we can carry out your job safely and on time, please ensure:

• A working outdoor tap and, where needed, an outdoor power supply are available.
• The area to be cleaned is clear of vehicles, furniture, pots, toys and pets.
• We have safe, clear access to the property and the work area.
• Windows and doors near the work are closed.

If access, water or power isn’t available on the day and the job can’t go ahead, this may be treated as a short-notice cancellation (see section 3).

• We use professional methods and the correct pressure and treatment for each surface. We take great care, but exterior cleaning works on existing surfaces and we cannot guarantee the removal of every mark.
• Some staining (e.g. oil, paint, rust, deeply ingrained black spot or efflorescence) may be permanent or only partially removable. We will always tell you honestly what to expect.
• Biocide and soft-wash treatments kill moss and algae at the root and slow regrowth, but regrowth over time is natural and not a fault.
• We are not responsible for pre-existing defects such as loose or failed pointing, cracked slabs, damaged tiles, blocked or broken drains, or poorly laid surfaces. Where we spot something, we will point it out.

• Payment is due on completion of the work unless agreed otherwise in writing.
• We accept bank transfer and cash. Card may be available on request.
• For larger or commercial jobs, payment terms and any deposit will be agreed in advance.
• Late payments may incur reasonable interest and recovery costs.

• We hold £2M public liability insurance and work to recognised safety standards.
• Our liability is limited to damage caused directly by our negligence. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, or for issues arising from defects in the property or surfaces we are asked to clean.
• Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

We may photograph or film work we carry out (before, during and after) for our portfolio, website and social media. We never include personal details, and we never show the inside of your property. If you’d prefer we don’t, just tell us before the job and we’ll respect that.

The details you give us (name, contact number, postcode, address and any photos) are used only to provide your quote and carry out your job. We never sell or share your information, and we never spam you.

We want you to be delighted. If anything isn’t right, contact us within 48 hours of completion and we’ll come back and put it right wherever we reasonably can.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
